I am not sure the developers of the new Star Trek game know what Star Trek is, because it isn't Gears of War, it isn't Doom, Left4Dead or Deadspace. There are lots of games out there that have these standard sets of cannon fodder. If this was an SG1 game or a Star Wars game I would have said fine, but this is supposed to be Star Trek.
It is a story about Humanitie's relationship with the universe's eventual state of entropy. It was published in 1956 which was a year before Sputnik and the year that IBM announced their first hard disk storage unit. Yet the story being written in a time when electronics used a lot of vacuum tubes, it is still very reliant and doesn't feel dated.Decompiledhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18083662209804988773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7746920.post-89143028259100373672012-08-18T12:50:00.000+00:002012-08-18T12:50:00.591+00:00A Game Of Thrones Mod For Crusader kings III bought Crusader Kings II hoping for a game that was slightly more complex than Risk and slightly less complex than any of the Total War series as I always struggle with the simulated battlefields (mainly I don't have the patients for that kind of battle). But what I got was a game that is so insanely complex that I find it impenetrable. I might give it another go in a few weeks, but at the moment I find the whole relationship structure of the game to be very difficult. But while reading up on the game I found out about the Game Of Throne Mod which if you like the TV series will probably have instant appeal to you.
I have also wondered what it is about the engines that make that noise considering there are no moving parts on the engines and any noise from outside wouldn't carry due to the vacuum of space. There is a video on YouTube that loops the enterprise engine noise for 24 hours.

However a better and higher quality version can be herd from Linux's play app. Use the following command to generate the noise procedurally:
play -n -c1 synth whitenoise band -n 100 20 band -n 50 20 gain +25 fade h 1 864000 1
Decompiledhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18083662209804988773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7746920.post-36950077930751306112011-12-15T07:45:00.000+00:002011-12-15T07:45:00.135+00:00Google's Memories for the Future ProjectTo remember The Tsunami that hit Japan earlier in the year. Google has put together a streetview project called Memories for the Future that allows you to see the streetview data before and after the tsunami.

It is a shame the site doesn't support linking, otherwise I would have linked to a few interesting areas.Decompiledhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18083662209804988773noreply@blogger.com
